Latest weaving – two cushions in rölakan (interlocked tapestry)  technique

This one is variation on antique carriage cushion from Bara district, Skåne.

I have used wool yarn from Wålstedts spinning mill -Wålstedts gobelänggarn Nm 5/2.

    Фантастические обе подушки! И обратная сторона синей не менее чудесна, чем все эти смешные птички! Кстати, а ты их сама рисовала, птиц с синей подушки?

      Спасибо большое, Лена! Обратная сторона по местным правилам должна быть тоже завлекательной :)) я-то по простому в полосочку из остатков разных. Птиц я срисовывала из разных книжек и потом в процессе ткачества в результате ошибок они все немного мутировали и стали такие какие есть :)

    Love the local birds pillow. How beautiful the birds are – very playful and interesting. Love the background, how you integrated the gray in the blue. Great job!

      Thank you very much! I’ve been admiring those birds in old textiles for quite a while before they come out in this weaving, so I am happy that you find them fun and interesting too!
